The Illinois Valley Community College Foundation and Alumni Association honors the College鈥檚 most distinguished former students, faculty, staff and friends through its Hall of Fame.

The 91抖阴 Foundation Office welcomes nominations for The 91抖阴-LPO Hall of Fame and a selection committee chooses the new inductees from the nominations submitted.

The 91抖阴-LPO Hall of Fame honors the academic, fine arts, athletic or career achievements of alumni during their years at 91抖阴 or LPO or in their personal or professional lives. In addition, the Hall recognizes individuals who may not have attended the college but who made a significant difference in the lives of 91抖阴 students through their service or generosity.

In addition to recognizing the individuals, the Alumni Association hopes to inspire and enlighten current students and create a culture of achievement and excellence. We hope today鈥檚 students will aspire to one day be inducted into the 91抖阴-LPO Hall of Fame.

Nomination Criteria

91抖阴-LPO Hall of Fame nominees will be selected based on answers provided to the following questions provided they meet the following nomination criteria:

Alumni nominees must have attended 91抖阴 or LPO for a minimum of 24 credit hours.
Alumni nominees are first eligible for selection ten (10) calendar years following their first transcribed graduation of a degree or certificate or following their achievement of 24 credit hours whichever is earlier.
Alumni and individual nominees are ineligible to receive the award if they currently are an elected public official or plan to run for public office. Eligibility begins once they are retired from public office.
Alumni and individual nominees cannot have received payment from the college for services within the last year from the date the nominations close or plan on receiving payment from 91抖阴 for services in the upcoming academic year. This includes employees, retirees, vendors and outside contractors.
Individual nominees who are not alumni and serve the college and are not receiving payment for those services (i.e. volunteer, Foundation Director) can be considered for nomination based on their service and outside professional accomplishments. However, nominations for those individuals who are not alumni and who serve the college will not be considered until they are done serving.
Nominees must have earned national, state or local renown for their accomplishments.
Alumni and individual nominees are asked to confirm attendance to the induction ceremony upon selection. If nominee is deceased or medically unable to attend, then a representative of the nominee will be invited to accept the award on behalf of the nominee if selected for induction.
If a nominee or their representative referred to above is unable to attend, then the nominee (or their representative) may request a virtual acceptance of the award or may request the selection be deferred to a future Hall of Fame Ceremony.
